ఎన్డీ టీవీ కి బర్ఖాదత్ ఇప్పుడు 'కన్సల్టింగ్ ఎడిటర్'!

భారత  దేశ టెలివిజన్ జర్నలిజం చరిత్రలో తనకంటూ ఒక అధ్యాయాన్ని నిర్మించుకున్న ఎన్డీ టీవీ గ్రూపు ఎడిటర్ పద్మ శ్రీ బర్ఖాదత్ ఇరవై ఏళ్ళ పాటు పని చేసిన ఆ ఉద్యోగం నుంచి వైదొలిగారు. ఆ సంస్థ కోసం 'కన్సల్టింగ్ ఎడిటర్' గా పనిచేస్తూనే... ఒక మల్టీ మీడియా కంపెనీ ని, ఒక పాలసీ గ్రూప్ ను సొంతగా నెలకొల్పబోతున్నట్లు ప్రకటించారు. 

ఈ  మేరకు ఎన్డీ టీవీ వ్యవస్థాపకులు ప్రనొయ్ రాయ్, రాధికా రాయ్ సంస్థ ఉద్యోగులకు ఈ కింది మెయిల్ రాసారు. 

"Barkha Dutt was only 23 when she joined NDTV as a young reporter cum producer. 'బక్ స్టాప్స్', 'వుయ్... ద పీపుల్' కార్యక్రమాలకు బర్ఖా యాంకర్ గా వ్యవహరిస్తూనే ఉంటారని ప్రనొయ్ దంపతులు తెలిపారు. దేశ రాజధానిలోని సెయింట్ స్టీఫెన్స్ కాలేజ్ లో గ్రాడ్యుయేషన్ చేసాక, న్యూ యార్క్ లోని ప్రపంచ ప్రఖ్యాత కొలంబియా యూనివెర్సిటీ లో జర్నలిజం అభ్యసించిన చేసిన బర్ఖాదత్ గ్రౌండ్ రిపోర్టింగ్ ను కొత్త పుంతలు తొక్కించారు, ఎందరో యువ జర్నలిస్టులకు స్ఫూర్తి ప్రదాత అయ్యారు. 1999 లో కార్గిల్ పోరాటం కవరేజ్, 2002 లో గుజరాత్ అల్లర్ల కవరేజ్ బర్ఖా కు మంచి పేరు తెచ్చాయి కానీ 2010 లో రాడియా టేపుల్లో చిక్కుకోవడం ఈ అద్భుతమైన జర్నలిస్టు ప్రతిష్టను దెబ్బ తీసింది. ఎన్డీ టీవీ కి పేరు రావడంలో రాజ్దీప్ సర్ దేశాయ్, అర్నబ్ గోస్వామి, శ్రీనివాసన్ లతో పాటు బర్ఖా ముఖ్యపాత్ర పోషించారు.  

బర్ఖా మాతృమూర్తి ప్రభా దత్ 1965 లో భారత్-పాక్ యుద్ధాన్ని హిందూస్తాన్ టైమ్స్ పత్రిక కోసం కవర్ చేశారు.
