Hon’ble #SupremeCourt warns #DainikJagran, #RajasthanPartika,#DBCorpLtd & #UshodayaPublications for delay in replying to contempt notices in regard to #MajithiaWageBoard
Dear Comrade,
A Bunch of contempt petitions were taken up by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India as item no. 1 before the bench Comprising Hon'ble Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justice N.V. Ramana. The proprietors of the newspapers who have proved to be niggardly and miserly in paying the wages and allowances as per the Majithia Wage Boards recommendations even after the clear direction of the Supreme Court fielded top notched lawyers of the country like; #KapilSibbal, #AnilDiwan,#AbishekManuSighvi and #GopalJain etc.
It may be noted here, that in spite of the clear direction given by the Hon'ble Court to the Contemnor-proprietors they have failed to file their counter affidavit to the contempt petitions.
The Hon'ble Supreme Court today sternly warned the defaulters like the Rajasthan Patrika, D.B. Corp Ltd, Ushodaya Publications, that if they fail to file their reply with in fifteen days from hence, heavy cost will be imposed on them.

The petitioner's Advocate and Secretary General IFWJ#ParmanandPandey has been granted two weeks time to file the Rejoinder after the received of the Counter Affidavit.
The court also made it clear that the pleadings of all cases should be completed at least a week before the next date of hearing. The court proposed before the advocates to suggest a mutually agreed upon the date so that there should not be any scope for further adjournment.
The advocate for the workers of the Jagran Prakashan Ltd., Rajasthan Patrika Ltd., Ushodaya Publication attracted the attention of the Hon'ble Court that the large scale harassment and victimization of employees is going on in these newspapers, particularly against those employees who have filed the contempt petitions. The Hon'ble Court was pleased to hear cases on the next date of hearing (28.04.2015).
Therefore, if any newspaper proprietor is indulging into malafide transfer, harassment or any other type of victimization please bring it to our notice so that we can incorporate in our Rejoinder to the Counter Affidavit.
The Hon'ble Court also consented to put all the Impalement Applications on Board.
